Well the fatigue still persists.
I had bloods done and everything ok apart from vit D which I have been taking a higher dose for.
I’m not sure what to do about it now.
I also have a diagnosis of hEDS so don’t know how much that is affecting me. A specialist I spoke to seems to think it’s the reason behind my extreme reaction to the HRT I had.

I just want to feel normal again!

Hello again Suzysheep.

I am sorry that you are still suffering and I completely understand your frustration.

Is it Ehlers Danlos Syndrome that you have been diagnosed with? My neighbour has this and is considering HRT to tackle her long list of symptoms. I would love to pass on any information you have received from your specialist. There may also be other ladies on the forum who have relevant experience to share.

Hopefully this problem will resolve for you soon.

Take care and sending hugs.

Yes Kathleen, it’s ehlers danlos.
She basically said that as oestrogen is responsible for collagen production…. And EDS is a connective tissue disorder… so once the oestrogen starts to deplete a whole host of symptoms can rear their ugly heads.
When I said about my horrific experience with HRT she said it was ver common for EDS patients to be ultra sensitive and intolerant to hormones and medication etc.

Hello again Suzysheep.

Thank you so much for replying. My friend is keen to try HRT but I don't think she sees anyone about her EDS so your information is very helpful.

My friend is 55 and she was diagnosed with EDS in her early twenties. At the time her doctor told her that she would be in a wheelchair by the time she was forty. In fact she is one of the fittest and most active people I know!
Although she mentions her EDS occasionally I don't think it has had a huge impact on her life so perhaps lifestyle makes a difference with this condition.

I hope you get your fatigue problem sorted out soon and take care.

That’s great news CLKD  :)

I have had a rough couple of days. Slept all afternoon and night Thursday. Literally hours upon hours! I thought I might be coming down with something… but then that’s how I always feel these days!
I’m so sick of feeling yuk all the time. I feel like a hypochondriac!

Hi Suzysheep
I suggest you get your cortisol and Dhea tested. This is done via a saliva test taken either 4 or 6 times a day. This is something you will have to pay for yourself but it’s easy to do and order online with companies such as medichecks or zrt labs.
You should also get a full thyroid panel test done.
Hope this helps xx

Nice easy article here from well respected thyroid specialist explaining the connection between fatigue, adrenals and thyroid.
It doesn’t all get sorted just with HRT!
For some it does and they’re the ladies who don’t need to come to this forum, but for the ones who are still struggling we need to look deeper.

Thankyou Marchlove…. I’ll have a read of that.

I had my thyroid level checked not long ago and although I just scraped through it was within normal range.

Spent another afternoon fast asleep. It’s not just a quick nap… I literally fall into deep sleep. I only stirred when my son came in from school.
