Hi it’s because vaginal pessaroes only come in 200mg. Using the oral capsules vaginally is “off licence” and the BMS won’t state anything that’s off licence.

You know you said that vaginal pessaries only come in 200mg doses. You know lots of women take utro vaginally 100mg every night is that why its off licence because of the dosage?

Thanks for coming back to me.

I've just had a look, sorry I should have checked before and the utrogestan 200mg vaginal capsules is for fertility use only, as in the case with cyclogest xx

Yes the vaginal capsules are produced for fertility. Have a look at the BMS document and it explains about vaginal use for hrt being off licence. It doesn’t mean that it can’t be used that way but it explains that it hasn’t been tested by the manufacturers for its efficacy that way.
