How long until hot flushes are gone on HRT
« on: January 19, 2022, 08:13:23 AM »

I started Sandrena 1mg and Utrogestan daily 4 weeks ago. I feel well, this is my second attempt as first time I felt so bad I stopped after 4 days. My hot flushes and night sweats have not totally disappeared yet, however the intensity and number of them is definitely lower.
I have my check up in 3 months. Not sure if i should wait or should i have by now been free of hot flushes and need a higher dose of Sandrena?
I would be grateful for your comments  :)

Hello Stella. I have been on HRT a year and still get hot flushes at times. I would say it is still early days for you.

Hi Stella2 my hot flushes disappeared completely after 2 weeks.
If u have the possibility of emailing  or ask for a call back from your Gp or private Consultant who is following you  i would advice you to do so before the 3 months review as hot flushes from my experience and what i have read here are the first symptoms to go so it might be just a case of increasing your sandrena and you will be advised on how much more you need .( i use oestrogel so not sure about sandrena equivalent).
After the 3 months you might benefit from a blood test that will read your estrogen level ( although not always necessary ) as that will give you an idea of how your absorbing and if need further increase .
Take care
