High or Low Dose?
« on: January 14, 2022, 06:29:23 PM »

I am on 1 pump of gel. The label on the gels says 2 pumps = 1.5mg of oestrogen. Is one pump considered low medium or high dose hrt. Got me thinking after another post on here about high dose HRT. Maybe some of the more scientifically minded ladies will know. I see that some of the patches are measured in mcg, I googled and this is micrograms.  :-\

It's a low dose. The usual starting dose for someone in peri is 2 pumps. You're lucky that's all you need, if you had a higher dose your low utrogeston regime may not have been sufficient. It's equivalent to a 25 patch.
