HRT advice
« on: December 17, 2021, 12:33:02 PM »

Hi again ladies
I stopped femsevern conti , had been on for 4 months,16 days ago, as they didn’t stick and my sleeping and mood was still all over the place.
Started straight on estrogel 2 pumps and utrogestan 100mg.
First five days not good then a week where sleep and mood really improved felt 95% back to me.
Then a night with waking with a headache which mainly went when I got up but hurt every time I lay down ( I had these quite a lot previously on evoril conti and when I was first off HRT)
But now 3 night of very poor sleep waking up hourly with some sweating and palpitations, tight chest. Feeling very jittery and tired but no headaches. Only 20% myself.

Any ideas what could be the cause? To much/little gel or problem with utro?
I do wonder if it isn’t meno at all?

I’m 59 and post meno, been suffering with anxiety/ insomnia since coming off HRT 18 months ago.

Can't help other than offer a  :bighug:

I think that the time of year will be affecting many too, so the brain works overtime!

If you want to know if it's the utro you could try a couple of cycles on a sequi regime (200mg x 12 days). You'll get a bleed but it might help you determine where the problem lies. You could use a long cycle of 6 weeks which would give you a month on oestrogen only.
Can't give you any advice on the headaches but there have been discussions on this. Try searching for migraine, aura or silent aura. As you say it might be that you've caught a virus and this is causing the problems. Have you had a covid jab recently?
