Vagifem causing itchy skin on body

I have been taking vagifem for 5 days. I have vaginal atrophy and I have already noticed a tiny improvement. I have started to get itchy skin on my whole body. I used to have this before starting HRT. I have been taking HRT for about 9 months as well as 2 antihistamines. This has stopped the itching. I read that vagifem can cause hypersensitivity so I am guessing that is why the itching is back. I was just wondering if anybody knows if this will stop? If not, is there another vaginal pessary I can try? Thank you for reading.

Is this listed in the leaflet in the box as a side effect?   Itchy skin can be caused by a drop of oestrogen. 

It is a localised application into the vagina.  How bad is the itchiness, does it keep U awake?

Thank you for replying. It is not listed on the leaflet but I read it on another site which listed all side effects. So far I do not think the itching is keeping me awake. I am waking for the loo.

Thank you. Last night the itching was really annoying and it was hard to sleep.
