Anyone had anything similar?
I'm having problems when swallowing water - food is fine, tea is fine but water is not.  I'm currently only drinking room temperature water.
Just after I swallow, I feel a dull pain to the right of my breastbone, just above my boob.
I've tried Rennie and yesterday got some acid reflux tablets from the pharmacy.  I have bronchiectasis, which can sometimes cause acid reflux.  But I don't think that's it as the rest of my chest/stomach is not hurting.
This came on suddenly on Tuesday.  If it's not gone by Monday I think I'll call the GP but wondered if anyone else has had this.

It obviously isn't going to be anything serious as you are eating and drinking tea without problems. 

It may be that the water is too cold which sets up a reaction.  Stop drinking it as an experiment?

We should get enough fluids from a balanced diet : fresh fruit, veg., soup, tea/coffee : "Rennies" helps my indigestion when necessary in the day, I also have 'omeprazolol' at night.

Certain bottled waters high in mineral content give me heartburn. Usually the more expensive ones.
