How many of you have mobiles capable of adding apps.?  Mine sends texts.  Otherwise 

Interesting article in the Telegraph yesterday followed by a News item on BBC 1, about how your data is used.  R U aware for example that although U may buy an appt directly, that you have little control over who your details are sold to, that sometimes 3rd and 4th parties become involved by which time, it's all 'out there'? 

The advice is: if you wouldn't tell a stranger in the coffee shop, then don't share on line!  If you think that you are oversharing, then delete those apps.!

To be honest I think apps are a lot less likely to have my details apart from phone number, I don’t buy apps only free so no credit card details, and if I don’t recognise the number I dont answer anyway  I love some if the apps I have, nothing better than sitting in the garden seeing a plane flying over and checking where its from and destination 

I dont like getting insurance quotes on line, adding all my details although I’m not 100 per cent truthful with my dob, phone number or address until I know who I’m going to choose, then I am honest. If I put my real phone number in I always get cold callers

Like Two hoots I only use free apps. Google maps is really useful for navigation and there are some excellent weather apps & rain radar.

I have a deep distrust of banking apps - will not use them at all.

In the main the only information they get is an email address - not my name.

They don’t have any information only a mobile phone number

They have your name ............. surely, otherwise why would you be pinged? 

My mobile is oh, so old - no updating for me.  I know how to switch it on

You are referring to the NHS app not general apps  I still think it was just the first part of my postcode I entered, nothing more, although it was a long time ago since I downloaded it.
