Stress, anxiety or embarrassment.  Particularly at work.  But I'm that kind of person anyway.  I used to blush like mad as a kid and I definitely remember having hot flushes at work in my 20's when I discovered I had done something wrong.  They disappeared for years as I got to my 40's and returned again with menopause.

Movement seem to have an impact on me too. Going for a walk can be really problematic and bending over can be a trigger. Eating and drinking anything hot or a glass of wine makes me look like Ive got some nasty disease with a bright red rash all over my neck, chest and face. I thnk stress can bring them on too. Joy!
