Im 5 weeks cold turkey. Do you know how long does it take for the hrt to be out of our system?
My scalp still feels someone is picking my hair and hair still shedding.

Hi Dada. When I've had to stop HRT my symptoms have taken around eight weeks to start and by three months I'm back to where I was pre HRT.

I take it you've had blood tests to rule out any other causes for your hair loss?

Hi Taz, thanks for the reply!
Yes blood test everytthing ok.
Actually, it happened the two times I took Femoston ! First time, i noticed the shedding and talk to my Gynea who told le to stop and refered to a meno specialist who told me not it s not Femoston !  I said ok.. Instopped After 2 month to prépare an embryon transfert in February. I had a miscarage in march. One month After i couldn t sleep because of anxiety and hot flush at night.
In April I was back on Femoston and the shedding happened again. I stopped on June 17th. I should have stopped rightaway, but I listened to this specialist.
I called the healt service in my country and they  told me that some cases of hair shedding has been reported but not on the list of side effects of the leaflet (Climaston is the nale in France)

What a shame, if it was reported on the leaflet I woud have stop sooner.
I hope I won't be bald by the time it comes out.

I'm so sorry that your embryo transfer wasn't successful and I hope you are feeling ok.

There is quite a lot online, especially from The Belgravia Clinic, on hair shedding as the result of the hormones used for transfer so, although you have used different progesterones before, maybe it is a combination of them plus the Femoston that has caused the problem? Is it all over thinning or in patches? In the UK we have trichologists who are hair specialists. It can be expensive but there may be hair treatments that will help your hair.

Thank you Taz. I have overcome it and then this shedding.

I have been 7 years on Ttc with Ivf and even medical menaupose (like zoladex).
That's  tru that  used dydrogesterone to have back my periode but without the oestrogene.

I have uses Provames a lot (oestrogènes) to get my lining prepared, it is the same beta Oestradiol than , Femoston but never lost hair.
Maybe its the components because they don't have the same ingrédients expect the Beta Oestradiol.

I have posted several times about hair loss, and it isn't getting any better, i stopped livial [Tibilon in case that was causing it, still carried on
I have been using Regaine [Minoxidil] for about 8 months, still no new growth, my Dr tried me on Evoral Conti, last year even more hair came out,
Anew Dr suggested patches, but gave me Evoral Conti again, after only 2 days i washed my hair and my hands were covered in hair again,it's the type of progesterone in Ev Ii think,it does say in the leaflet it can cause it,
I still have bald patches and spend most of the time wearing a hat
My ferritin levels are reasonable now, as if too low can cause hair loss
I have Haemochromatosis, [iron overload, for anyone who doesn't know] so if iron gets too high have to have blood taken[venesections] sometimes, but my ferritin doesn't get too high, so i only have about 2 a year, i won't have one if my ferritin goes below a hundred
I would be interested to hear of anyone having any success with Regaine,as my Dr says it is the only thing that works, but does take time
After 8 months not sure whether to give it up as a bad job now,or try a bit longer
