Very best of luck with your appointment.  Hormonal anxiety is really really horrible and I feel for you.  I have had it for the past 5 months due to a change in my HRT ingredient and I will now have to change on to Lenzetto next week which I know will give me side effects till I (hopefully) get used to it as any change in medications always does.  I hope so much that you get the relief you need from your appointment.  You are definitely going to the right place for the best possible advice xxx

Hi everyone,

So a quick update: I spoke to a Consultant who was kind and knowledgeable. He is happy for me to take Estradot 100 mcg and add two pumps of oestrogel. He is also happy for me to skip progesterone for a month to give myself a chance to get things in balance again.

We discussed a hysterectomy and I am thinking that through. It was a really helpful appointment.

I am having a low wobbly day but want to thank you all for your support along this journey. I feel things are moving in the right direction for me but it is very slow and gentle.

Much love, Jo xxx

Mindful, that's great!   You can have a progesterone holiday and see if that makes a difference.

I hope you get some improvement and please keep us updated.

Hi

Hormonal anxiety is crippling, never had anxiety, low mood and lightheadedness until perimenopause. However for me I have suffered more since post menopause.

Hope things settle soon

Hi Mindfullmoonies

I have been on this journey so long and tried varies HRT. Currently using 3 pumps of Oestrogel and about to start Utro continuas (not sure I will be on that) for many years I did long cycle 6/8 week just Oestrogel then 7 days Northisterone, worked ok but I became conplasent and got a build up so now advised to use conti HRT. A few years ago I did try Angelique which worked well for me but discontinued.

Hi Dawn, it went well in that I felt understood and we have discussed increasing my estrogen and skipping a month of progesterone and a possible hysterectomy.

I don’t know why but I am feeling really low this week and like I’ll never feel better (which I know is not true) so have increased my antidepressant after speaking to the Gp yesterday.

I have emailed the clinic for some reassurance that reproductive depression can pass as I think that’s what was missing from the appointment; hope and reassurance.
