Hi me again ..
after my almost 3 months on everol 50 sequi and having my monthly bleed before applying the Conti patch
Have spoken to the GP
and she is prescribing everol 50 patch and 200mg progesterone tablet

Does this sound right.. she said to use a patch all time as I do now so every Thursday and Sunday change patch as normal but take 200mg for 14 days.
Then just use the patch for 14 days

Did anyone find they had any side effects off this regime

I’m bleeding at moment & was due to start my Conti patch this Thursday and doc as said if possible take start the tablet this week on Thursday for 14 days with a everol 50 patch
Then everol 50 patch on own for following 14 days

I’m away for a week in a caravan on Thursday been booked for a while and would rather have a good week than bad ( aniexty wise ) so was wondering if anyone had any bad side effects and best time to take the tablets etc

I’m not sure as I haven’t picked it up yet but says progesterone micronised 100mg x 2 daily on my app for prescription

I'm on an Evorel 25 patch (change it twice a week) and 200mg Utrogestan for 12 days of the cycle. I've been on it 4 months now and it works fairly well for me. The first month I was anxious and tearful for a few days when I came off the tablets and the 2nd month it hit me on day 5 of the tablets but since then my mood seems to have stabilised. I also sleep really soundly when taking the tablets. I mentioned the anxiety to Dr and she thinks it's because my Estrogen patch is quite low compared to progesterone tablet so she's upping the patch to 50.

That’s the tablet gp as given me ,
I was on everol 50 sequi patches
So was on the Conti but she thinks this might suit me better

I’m meant to be on the Conti patch Thursday and start these if I want too

I was thinking maybe keep the everol 50 on for 2 weeks now then add in the tablet as then it’s like in sync with my cycle
As I’m currently on a cycle now before having the progesterone

Maybe that will help .. rather than take on Thursday and prob have another bleed before I’m meant to

Any particular time Of day you take the tablets and do you take orally ?
Did you get any side effects

I just don’t know when to start it now because of going away ..
Aniexty as been on and off all day for me but that’s because I’m on a cycle

I take the Utrogestan at bedtime because they can make you drowsy. They have to be taken on an empty stomach too.
My only side effects have been a bit of low mood/anxiety either after finishing the 12 day course or around a week into taking them and also a little bit of nausea. My bleed often comes early too, around day 10 of the course of tablets. I take them orally.

I'm sorry I can't help with changing from one type of hrt to another because I've only ever taken this type.

Assuming you're peri rather than meno it's important to fit the hrt into your own cycle not the other way round. My own cycle is always stronger than the hrt one. So day 1 is the start of your bleed and you take utro days 16 - 25 then bleed again 2-3 days after finishing utro (at least in theory ). I use it vaginally (no need for an empty stomach) and get fatigue on it.
Edit - got the days wrong, think it should be 15-26.

Thankyou shelia that’s exactly what I was thinking …
The GP is gonna call back this afternoon because in my brain it’s telling me to do that so my hormones regulate with the correct regime patch then patch tablet
As why I’ve been on the patches the bleed as come before the Conti part
So maybe this way it would come when meant to come
As I said I’m bleeding now since Sunday but not due on  the Conti patch until tomorrow
Would taking everol 50 for an extra 2 weeks make much difference ??

My aniexty is through the roof.. don’t know it’s that’s because of bleed but seems like it’s got worse since HRT & that’s why she suggested a different regime with tablets for the progesterone part

Maybe I started too late in the first place as was 9 days after my cycle but because I read irregular that you could take anytime I did . I have never missed a period to be honest but they came closer together & maybe that’s why the bleeds are not in sync with the patch it should be with & I’m thinking that could cause my symptoms to be haywire maybe lol

Spoke with GP ( another one )
She said to start it as a new cycle
So use Everol 50 for 2 weeks and then Everol 50 and introduce the progesterone
Then it should be in line with this bleed, rather than get bleed different parts of clinical cycle

I asked if this was safe to do as obviously been on everol 50 for past two weeks in current regime
she said it’s fine as Sunday just gone when bleed arrived would be my first patch for this regime so only 3 more everol only 50 patches before introducing the progesterone tablet
So said it’s perfectly fine
as the lining shouldn’t get so thick in that amount of time as I’m currently bleeding

So maybe this is best way forward for me and maybe I will get my hormones in sync

Just need to get rid of this aniexty lingering feeling now…patch change tomorrow hopefully that helps
I’m sure it’s because I’m of having a bleed as it came 2 days before and lingered on and off since
I’m so glad I gave birth to a son and I don’t have to try and educate him on peri menopause
I have a granddaughter and I’ve been explaining as much as possible to her mommy .. so she won’t take it as bad as me when it finally get turn to enter this horrendous time of our life
Probably scared her 😂😂

I pray for better days & now hopefully my body can sync with hrt properly this time

Here’s too this new regime and next 3 months .. although lesson learnt if I feel somthing is off ask.. if I feel it’s not working speak to someone

Hi hurdling

I’m still on the everol 50 patch for now and have been on these over 3 months so so far all is ok ( well normal for me ) I still get aniexty feeling and lightheaded feeling last few days but I don’t know if that’s the patch or just me or both.
I start the progesterone part Sunday
I will let you know how I get on
I would love just to be my normal self for a day I forgot what it’s like lol
