Not doing very well again
« on: July 27, 2021, 05:15:56 PM »

Hi Ladies,

I have just hd an awful dip again.  I am writing a diary and have found that I have had the same dip and pain  on exactly the same day last month in my cycle . I had to take a diazapam. Also my nerve  and back pain has got worse exactly the same day in my cycle as last month. I did not realise it until I read my notes. I used to be ok on the progesterone part- a bit more tired and flatter, but a walk in the park compared to this.

I am waiting on a specialist appointment this week. I am scared that this is as good as it gets and it is all down hil from now on. And I am normally a postive person. I ache all over as well and I know that is worse at the time I am due for my next tablets of HRT.

I just needed to let it all out as I have no one I can talk to about how I am feeling

Hi Pepperminty,
sorry to hear you're not well. This is the place to let it all out, we're all in the same boat!!

Do you know what is causing these dips -is it the progesterone or is your own cycle making things worse in the background?
Good that you have an emergency medication to take, so you can hopefully cut the bad spiral from the beginning.

This whole meno business is such a roller coaster -I'm feeling still the ups and downs very strongly as I haven't found a balance with HRT. Just today had a bad morning, ok'ish day, bad afternoon and good evening. It's unbelievable how many different feelings one can have within just a one day.  ::)

Hope tomorrow will be better for you, take good care of yourself!! xx

Hi Pepperminty
I hope you feel better soon & you don’t have so many dips
Menopause.. peri menopause is awful for us all
Some find the best balance ( I’m jealous ) and some dont …
But this forum brings us all together as we all suffer in same ways
I found this my outcry .. I would post and ramble on because I could ..
I didn’t always feel better for it but it’s much better out than in

I hope your journey gets better and that you are ok. Xxx

Hi Pepperminty

Oh it's rubbish isn't it? :(

I'm glad you have a specialist appointment this week, so just be very honest with them about how bad you feel in these dips and I'm sure there'll be another regime you can try  :-*
Good Luck & let us know how you get on

Thank you ladies for your kind replies and support.

I have tried uping my tablet again and although i had a good few days on the estrogen only part , I am worse on the progesterone part at the moment. My emotions are up and down. But  worse is the pain at the moment. Over night my hips are very painful and sore and I ache all over like the flu.
I used to be ok with the progesterone part , in fact a couple of years ago I felt better on that part, but not now!  I wish there was more research and I could have a simple explanation as to what is going on. Why the change now?

If it was men feeling this way - There would be a lot more research. A bit more choice on the progesterone front would be a start.
My logical brain says it will pass and i will be ok ( i hope) and my meno brain is terrified that i will be stuck like this for years.

Reading posts by ladies who have been post meno for years - it does seem to get a bit easier for most without the ups and downs. I suspect I still haven't quite got there. I read that all the  oral estrogen does not all get through to the system, so as i am on a low dose perhaps my levels are very low? I know estrogen readings whilst on oral estrogen are not accurate - but I am not sure why exactly.

Thank you again ladies.
