Yes, to a certain degree I suppose.
Wonder if that’s why some get infections after operations. After all, those paper masks do have gaps and only last for a certain amount of time. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hello ladies.

I will continue to wear my mask, sanitise my hands and socially  distance wherever possible. I don't think it is safe to ease the restrictions so I will not be changing my behaviour. I agree that the changes are putting more people at risk which is appalling.

An American scientist demonstrated on YouTube that even wearing five surgical masks, one on top of the other, would not prevent the virus from escaping the mouth of an infected person.  If fewer people will be wearing masks perhaps we need a better product for those of us who still believe they are necessary!

Take care ladies.

In which case the masks weren't fitted correctly.

Masks in the work place have to be fitted by a person trained on how to fit masks for particular tasks.  Mine don't allow breath from the edges  :-\.  DH has altered a couple of mine to fit securely, he did industrial fitting - can you tell  :D

All these sporting spectators together but choirs can't sing even keeping apart  >:(

Good grief  :o. How would you breathe through five masks??

To be honest most people's masks aren't really up to the job.  I think any benefit is minimal, but I suppose they make people feel better, maybe.

I shall carry on as I have throughout this pandemic. Being cautious. I was advised to shield for good reasons. I struggle with wearing a mask as it makes breathing more difficult, particularly moving about, but consider that there is some protection. I shall carry on having food etc delivered ( I have become an excellent armchair shopper!) and if I venture into a shop, it will only be at times when there are fewer people. The relaxing of restrictions all at once worries me and I feel it is foolish not to do it gradually. I am just thankful that I am retired and can make such choices and that I live in a place where I can go for walks reasonably safely. I miss singing with my choir, but at least I can have Zoom singing lessons.

I feel so sad for the people who are at risk, life has changed forever, sadly this is just another new virus we are going to have to live with and for the foreseeable future I'll be keeping my mask as much as I don't like it,I'm undecided about them,as in the debate whether they work or not as I've not once had the cold since using mine,is that just a coincidence 🤷‍♀️
