I'd love a bidet....but right now i'd struggle to rise from one! Getting off the loo atm takes great powers of concentration.
Just before my back injury i'd decided to have a new bathroom fitted...more out of necessity than desire ....current one is very jaded ( just like me
) I've had to temporarily put it off cos I don't think I could cope with the upheaval .

Hi JeanJenie,
When you fit a new bathroom , look for a toilet that is higher to make it easy to get on and off. You can get them at different heights. Also think about raising the basin , so you do not have to lean so much. Back issues are awful.

Thanks pepperminty! I didn't even know you could get different heights....that would be great. Would be good for my youngest and middle sons too...ones 6'4.....the other 6'6. They call our bathroom the Hobbit bathroom.

My Mum had a higher than 'normal' loo fitted, it took some getting used to
. She was advised at the age of 91 .........
