More pelvic floor!
« on: June 09, 2021, 09:56:22 PM »

Hi everyone

So I thought I'd nearly sorted out a few niggly pelvic floor issues, mainly the feeling of weakness (all areas  :o), no incontinence, a bit of urinary incontinence when had flu and very bad cough but it's completely resolved.  But I don't like the feeling that my pelvic floor is weaker everywhere.  And at the moment it really feels that way as I'm on the combined patch of Evorel Sequi and heading up to a period (which is when this happens more).  Thankfully I think things will improve when back on the oestrogen patch, but then there's the breast issues.

I've been given supplemental oestrogen Evorel 25 and I thought that might be enough to sort things out, but things seem worse this month.  Wondering if I'm one step behind all the time and really need to be on Evorel 50.  Maybe it's just a bad month, but I don't like the feeling that before my period, my pelvic floor is being allowed to get weaker like this if I can do something about it.

I think that was a ramble but any thoughts appreciated  ;D

Are you on testosterone? I leaked without regular pelvic floor exercises from giving birth at 42 until going on testosterone at 58 (still peri). Now I don't have to. I had a problem repeatedly pulling muscles in peri so I think it improved muscle tone in all muscles including pelvic floor. No one else has mentioned this so it might just help people like me who have a problem with muscle weakness.

Thanks I am on beta blockers and have terrible muscle weakness as a result of them, even though I'm only on a half tablet now.

I wonder if they helped this along but the doctor says no.  I kind of think yes, lol.  But of course declining oestrogen will have played it's part too.

I have to go get my thyroid checked so I will ask about testoterone.  Thanks  :-)
