Supplemental Patch Question
« on: May 10, 2021, 03:16:53 PM »

Hi all

I've just been prescribed Evorel 25, to go along with my Evorel Sequi.

The doctor's gone home now, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to use the Evorel 25 patch alongside ALL the evorel sequi patches that I'm on, ie I'm currently on the combined patch (the last 4 patches of the month) and don't know if I have to use this supplemental patch for the Estradiol phase (first 4 patches) only, or if I use supplemental all the way through.

Am I making sense?   ;D

I know no one can tell me how to take my own medicene, but just wondering if anyone knows how it's usually taken.  It says on the box to take one patch twice weekly in combination with evorel sequi, so I have a feeling I take it all the way through all the evorel sequi patches.

Thanks for reading my ramble, not a good day today, was woken this morning at 4.30   ;D

Another thing, she did mention a progesterone tablet that you could take and oestrogen only patches.  i haven't chosen that option, but she said it works well if women have issues with sleep.  My issues with sleep are mainly that there are noise problems, but I have wondered if it will still help.

The thing is I thought the oestrogen made me sleep more than the progesterone.  When I'm on the combined patch I tend to get quite hyper and don't sleep as well, my sleep falls back into line when back on the estradiol only patch.

So, which is it that's supposed to help sleep.  She's suggested its progesterone.  i've noticed it's oestrogen.  Anyone else have any experience to share on this aspect?  :)
