Today been a good day for my teeth, they almost feel normal, hopefully still good tomorrow, as I’ve had good days in the past then bad again the next day?

Glad you had a good day shrosphirelass, I hoped it continue for you. Mine bothered me a bit more today. But still a improvement compared to before antibiotics. I’m praying I will still keep going forward after my antibiotics finish (Sunday). But feel I will be glad when they finish, loose bowels and farted blood this morning in my underwear  :' not a great way to start the day.
Another problem I’ve got is the inside of my mouth on the side. By the end of the day it’s irritating and sore? I’ve no idea why? Had this on and off for about 3 months now.

Would you say shrosphirelass that your pain can be different every day? And can you have a good day follow by a bad day?

I have ulcers occasionally especially if I bite the side of the mouth  - we have a product called 'bonjela' for that specific reason a bit like 'savlon' 4 the inside of the mouth.

Lyncola, yes some days are better than others and the intensity varies. It makes no sense to me but this was also the case when I had a sever infection, sometimes I would be close to suicidal and sometimes not as bad but the same level of infection. Re your mouth I have found if I am on antibiotics, using mouth wash / salt washes, pain medication etc it can result in mouth soreness. Not sure why, maybe its changing the natural habitat of the mouth. Good luck.

CLKD I have used bonjela for mouth ulcers and it seems really effective.

I had intense pain following extraction - it wasn't dry socket but simply a lot of tugging to get it out  . DH had to come home from work as I was suicidal.  Bonjela is my go-2 for ulcers.

the joy of fluctuating hormones.  I have had teeth/ gum problems since 2015 and only in the last 2 years worked out it was hormones causing it.  Mine comes and goes.  i get burning mouth, sore patchy white and red gums, painful teeth, sensitive to brush, sometimes hurts to eat sometimes it doesn't.

It's something that the dentists should be aware of, time to bring it up in the surgery.  I asked mine and he already knew and he's way younger than we are

I’ve been getting it too….all of a sudden I have gingivitis along one tooth and have had sore, irritated gums for a couple of weeks. It all started a few days after after I stopped a brief period of HRT, so I’m back on HRT now in the hope it all clears up. I wonder if the drop in oestrogen did it as I was going on along fine before that

Thanks for all your replies ladies, shrosphirelass it makes me feel better that your similar to me, I think it’s just me why would my pain be different one day to the next? And if it was a problem like infection or sinus air bubble (which they think I’ve got) that the pain would be constant?

Today my pain was on my left side, it’s been fine for three days. Today the left side would her for a couple of hours then disappear and came back for about a hour in the afternoon. I don’t think I’ve got ulcers CLKD, as I’ve had them before. And you can see ulcers, when I look at the inside of my mouth, nothing is obvious. My right inside of mouth cheek has just started bothering me again at 6pm.

Only two more days to my doctors appointment (for my MRI results) followed by my dentist. I’m glad I didn’t cancel my dentist appointment. Just hoping we don’t go into lockdown as my dentist appointment might be canceled. A trucker from New South Wales, has entered Queensland and been infectious in the community for five days. If a case of one person in the community gets it from him we will be thrown into lockdown.

Anyway I’m thankful to all you ladies that reply to me, it really helps me a lot

Lyncola, all you can do is take one day at a time. I think that pain always varies to some extent. You often hear cancer patients, for example having good days and bad. I'm not too bad atm, its always there in the background, but definately copable.

I did a 30 day Headspace medication on how to mange pain and I would highly recommend it. It really helped me and can be revisited as often as needed. I know there are cost implications though. I was lucky to get the app for free as I am a student (perhaps one of the oldest there is!)

Had my doctors and dentist appointments today. The MRI showed sinus congestion, but nothing else.
I took the results to my dentist. She very happy with how my teeth look. I told her the pain has improved where my teeth were, big improvement since the antibiotics.

But I do get pain roof of my mouth and on the right side inner cheek. She thinks the roof of mouth pain could be from the sinus. So I’m now taking sinus medication. Still no idea about my cheek (she saw no problem with it) I’m back to gargling black tea. My doctor recommended it only did a couple of days before my teeth were pulled out. Bless her she didn’t charge me again (three times now) I bought her and her staff chocolates and scratches, for all there help. She said the antibiotics would of done their job there would be no infection left. If I’d still get pain to talk to my neurologist in October.

Shrosphirelass I talked to her about your pain and how long you had it. She said when it goes that long it’s more then likely damage nerves. Can I ask what level are you on with Amitriptyline? Did they ever moved you up to a higher level?

So if I could get my cheek and roof of my mouth back to normal that would be one less problem to deal with. I will keep doing the tea until my next doctors appointment on the 23rd of September. And if still problems hopefully she can give me the next step.

Hopefully you are on the mend Lyncola and its good that you have got a neurologist appointment lined up to explore issues. I have been feeling much better (fingers crossed). I do think my issues are wholly or largely teeth related. I was ok until the 3rd session of the complicated reroot session. I too have had antibiotics. The dentist wants to open the tooth up again if matters don't resolve. I wonder as well if I am just a very slow healer. Its 3.5 weeks since the last root canal session and the last 2 days I haven't had any pain relief (every day up until then since having that 3rd session). I can feel it, but it's manageable. As you say there is also probably some nerve involvement, which fingers crossed will improve in time. I am still on a 10mg dose and my dr really wants me to come off them, but the dentist advises against.
