Hi everyone,
Just to let you know I'm having my first appointment next month. Sadly, it's by phone and late afternoon, both of which are a huge demand of the M.E., but it's a start and I'm so, so grateful for this forum and to those who have informed and encouraged me about this option. My M.E. is definitely worsening as I move through very post-menopause without hormonal support, so there may be gains all round. In fact, I'm starting to question if it ever was M.E., but a severe oestrogen deficiency brought on by a range of factors at the time! It would be immeasurably sad to think I've had to endure what I have and acquire more and more losses than gains over sixteen years if all I needed was hormonal support! However, this is a whole new age, a new era in recognition and awareness and I rejoice in the fact that at least some of my (life-changing) symptoms may be eased over time, even just a little! Sooooooo happy!
