Hi Everyone,
Still battlingto find the right combination of HRT. I have tried Utrogestan for three years. It just doesn't suit me at all. I thought it would be better as its biodentical. 
So now i am back to the mirena coil.  I have also changed patches for oestrogel.  I like the patches but they dont stay on me very  well. I was on 75 patches. 
My question is about the gel. I am only on two pumps but feel a bit sickly with it. Is this just an adjustment.  I have used patches for three years. I guess also adjusting to mirena. Do you all find the gel better ? Xxx

Hi, I have just switched from patch to oestrogel (3 pumps) - it's only been a few days but so far so good.  I quite like the idea of it being a fresh daily application and so far I feel more alert, more focused etc. Will continue with 100mg Utrogestan (vaginally) continuous every night as seem to be reasonably ok with this. So far the gel hasn't made me feel sickly so perhaps that is due to your Mirena Coil settling down period again.

You may be right as the marina has only been in a couple of weeks.  I really want the gel to work as have such problems keeping on patches.  I just wondered if the gel absorbs differently to the patches.  I willl let you know how it goes. I am glad its working for you .xx

Gel can be absorbed differently just as some people find a difference between different patches. It's usually the progesterone that causes problems though.

You are probably right with the progesterone.  Hopefully it will settle down . I have had the mirena before but probably as its a new one .
