Hello again ladies.

I have absolutely no energy or motivation today and this has been going on for a while. I was hoping my new HRT regime would give me a boost but that hasn't happened yet unfortunately.

I know that lethargy is a common symptom of the menopause but this feels new, especially as I am post Meno and most of my other physical symptoms have been and gone.  Perhaps we are all suffering from SAD and we will all feel better as the weather brightens up.

Wishing you all well.

Kathleen, I’m with you. Have also started new regime in the hope it will give me new energy. Post meno four years. It’s early weeks and getting sickness and lethargy side effects. I had to fight with my mind and body to go for a walk just now but felt better for doing it. I’m learning that expending energy helps to create energy but it’s so difficult! I think you’re right about feeling extra lethargic after a long winter and a hard lockdown. It’s tough on the mind and body. We’ll get there as it gets brighter and warmer.  Wishing all you ladies luck. x

Hello again ladies.

Babspiglet  - I have woken up this morning feeling nauseous and I wondered if that is what you meant when you said you were having sickness and lethargy side effects?  I also know what you mean about having to force yourself to go out.

May I ask what regime you are on and for how long?I have been using Oestrogel for almost three months now and if these are side effects I hope they settle soon.

Wishing you well.

Hi Kathleen, I’m 3 weeks into ultra low dose Femoston Conti. I actually have a stronger prescription but am currently halving the tablets as I had anticipated side effects. I was hoping that they would lift quite soon-maybe a month or so.  Yes, nausea and more lethargy on top of the tiredness I already have. Definitely side effects.  I’m not sure if HRT is for me but am determined to see 3 months out on the same regime! I’m sad that you’re still feeling sick, I hope it gets better. Is there a chance it could be unconnected-have you been feeling sick every day so far? x
