UPPING OESTROGEN PATCH
« on: December 11, 2020, 03:53:38 PM »

Hi
My GP has put my patches upto 75. I was on 50 and I confess I was using my utrogestan sporadically.. which I know is wrong. I was probably doing 100mg vaginally every 5 weeks for 10 days as that’s all I could handle till my boobs would go painful etc.  I was having a withdrawal bleed. Now I get the logic behind upping oestrogen to balance progesterone (or vice versa). So my question is, I felt fine on the 50, only 3 days into the 75 but feel really bloated etc. Will this settle or am I on too much? I’m 52 and 6 years post meno. I’m willing to give it time but don’t want to feel a bloated mess over Xmas! She also said I can take the utrogestan every other night if I want. I was waiting for the femseven Conti to arrive back on the market but she said utrogestan was a kinder oestrogen.. xx

Why did she increase the dose? You could cut a piece off it if you want to increase more slowly.
