Nope to washing machine,tumble drier,or washing line,oh I don't know,I've no doubt done something absolutely ridiculous with them,think I need a vino  ;D

This is better than the detective  tv show we are bingeing on.... Case of the Missing Towels.

Did you dry the dogs off outside? Are they by obvious place of the door? Or dogs baskets to soak up any excess wet?

Are any of us actually going to get any sleep tonight with the towel fretting??? You just know that  they will be doing that ' hidden in plain  sight thing '

Has your daughter had a party while you were away and the towels have been put in the bin after some mopping up ?  (sorry loosley based on my past experiences with my daughter ;D)

All reminds me of the towel sketch in League of Gentlemen.  The Denton House rules for towels when they have someone staying

"White for hands, Brown for feet, Green for torso, thighs and seat and in the cupboard beneath the stair you'll find the Red for pubic hair."

I think I'm just going to have to give up on this one, although it will haunt me for the rest of my days.
I have quizzed my daughter but she's pretty honest, she told me she'd broken a cheese slicer a glass and a hot water bottle   ;D So I think she'd own up to a towel, I do wonder if they've been used to mop up and binned though,it's the only explanation 🤷‍♀️ and for some reason she's not telling me 🤨
My brain hurts now, have any of you,in your head, gone over and over your actions?
Heyho,I'll phone the towel police later

Yep.  My brain simply won't stop 'searching'. Yesterday it was a top that I was given for my birthday [remember that ;-) ?] - it turned out that I was wearing it  :o.  That was after I had turned out the wardrobe and my drawers .........

Yes I regularly get looping thoughts. OCD related but sometimes just about normal things like where have I put my towels 🙈🤣
Oh actually no better example is whem I go over amd over something to the point that I can't remember whether I've actually done it or have just imagined I have, if that makes sense?????
