Since Himself retired I haven't touched the hoover thingy, went to use it just now and couldn't find the on/off button! 

CLKD   -   When did OH retire?

Are you meaning that you have been so busy with 'retirement' type things that you haven't been dong as much housework   -   resulting in you forgetting where the on/off button was?

Yep, since May he's done the hoovery thingy so I had forgotten where the button was

Can't count the number of times I've put a tea bag in with my cereal, or put the sugar in the fridge and the milk in the cupboard. My favourite 'trick' at the moment is forgetting to actually turn the oven/washing machine/dishwasher on. I can stand and stare at it for a good five minutes before I work out what I've done - good job we can laugh about it

My speciality is to fill the kettle and not switch it on. Made quite a few cold cups of tea

Mine's filling the teapot with boiling water but no tea!

Mines adding coffee to OH's tea - he has tea, I have coffee, but sometimes he has the best of both!

I make myself laugh too sometimes SL - unfortunately OH doesn't find it as funny

I do things like pouring boiling water in my orange juice instead of my mug and this morning I tried to drink out of a mug that just had a tea bag in the bottom, I thought it was my juice.  My daughter just gives me one of her looks (she is 13) and says 'oh Mum ....' in that sort of 'oh dear you're losing it' way!

I've got one of those kettles that boils one cup at a time. Switched it on yesterday and walked away. On return found that I forgotten to put a cup underneath so water everywhere!! What a twit! lol x

I have just found 2 packets of biscuits in the fridge!  No need to ask who put them there?

I thought i would have a cup of tea and watch some TV, but when i went out the kitchen could not find the kettle.

On returning to the living room i found the kettle on top of the TV.  Glad to know that i am not the only one doing silly things.
