Had to see the nurse recently for very minor procedure, the anticipation was worse than the event. In my bid to beat a hasty retreat I picked up some glasses that were laying on a trolley, they looked like mine, the nurse said “they're mine actually”. Are they, said, I. “Yes” she said, “you've got yours on”.

We went out one Sunday for a drive. It was early when we stopped and I jumped out to go to the loo. Hmmm funny basins I thought, looks different since last time I visited. While in a cubicle I heard men's voices, thought it must be male cleaners. When I came out husband said “you went in the gents, didn't you notice”.  “Did I, oh well, needs must. Thought it looked odd.”  Good job no one was in there when I left.

Another toilet incident, this time exiting. At an exhibition coming out of the toilets I kept pushing a door (no handle) but it wouldn't open. “I can't get out” I said to the queue behind. A woman behind me said “let's try this other door” and pulled it open, the one marked exit.  I heard her friend say, that's the type of thing that usually happens to me.

Sleepless

Yesterday I needed to scramble an egg.  Put opened egg into bowl and put into fridge.  Switched on microwave and set to 'go'.  Opened microwave door: no bowl  ::)

This morning went to the PO on the way to collect the dog: posted letters 1st Class, came home - without  ??? ::)

Today I went to the Supermarket and unloaded the trolley onto the belt.  When I got to the other end there was a large box of tissues and I began to run after the previous customer, an old man ......... until the lad on the till told me the box is mine  ::) ........... note the 'run after' I sort of slinked back  :-\

I've opened the patio to the sun today.  We usually go in and out by the back door.  So when I got to the back door earlier I couldn't understand why it wouldn't open  :bang: :bang: :bang:  ........... a moment of panic there then  ::)

Well I had a moment yesterday.  I was in a store where I'd bought a couple of items and my daughter was going through the next till.  The cashier had put my items through and told me how much it was and I was looking in my bag for my purse and couldn't find it - cue the panic setting in and me in a very loud voice saying I'd lost my purse and could I borrow some money drawing loads of attention to myself  :-[, only to find I'd put it in the different section of my bag that I never use normally, I felt such a fool as I'd only used it minutes beforehand in another shop.

I also keep mislplacing the dishcloth which turns up either in the fridge or the pedal bin and constantly forget things that I've just been told.  I think I drive everyone mad asking them to repeat everything that I should know already!
