This isn't so much as silly thing done, just spoken.

Many years ago, I was in the 6th Form, so very many years ago.  A friend who, like me, passed her driving test at 1st go, aged 17.  She'd just got a new car and a new puppy.  We were happily chatting when I came out with

"What make is your dog and what breed is your car?"

I spent a minute or two wondering why she was giving me 'one of those ' looks.  We both roared with laughter when it clicked with me.  A case of very early 'senior moment'?

The car was a Mini and the puppy was a Westie.

oh dear, I've done it again.

Sat in bed watching the World Championships, (had bad night, so a quiet morning/early afternoon will help), when it changed channels from BBC1 to BBC2. Cannot find the remote anywhere, in bed, on floor, under pillow and frustration begins to set in.  DH came to my 'rescue'.  Nope, I was right, no remote. Then he sees it, sat on my bedside table!  Problem solved!  I didn't put it there, honestly :cuss:

My best things to loose, shoes, slippers, car key, door keys and Fire!

These are funny.  This is my best one: Whilst shopping in Asda I looked into my trolley and asked my daughter why she'd put several items in without asking.  She said she hadn't and when I looked again I realised it wasn't my shopping.  I'd only waltzed off with someone else's (full) trolley!!!  We found our trolley abandoned in a nearby aisle.  Never did find the poor person whose shopping I stole though.  We still laugh about it now x

Peri, lovely.  Just imagine, a trolley full of free shopping.

Sorry Sparkle, the Fire is my Amazon tablet/kindle thing.

When I drive DH to his Monday pm stewarding post at South Devon Steam Railway, in the Museum, I rely on it to kill 3.75 hours.  I have taken knitting or embroidery too. I'd like to be taking the latter on Monday, only 1 slight problem, where the heck is it. It's here, honestly, but where?   DH suggested the cleaning cupboard. Looked, but still no luck. It's not hanging from the light fittings, not in the wardrobe, cannot be in the oven because I baked yesterday, not in the washing machine nor the drier. That one was a fair bet, we don't use it too often. The drier I mean ::). Running out of options. Not under the bed, it's a 4-drawer divan, so not enough space. I KNOW it's still in the ring and that is locked onto the seat frame. (Think hoop frame for doing the work with a stem attached. The stem fits into the hollow upright stem and that is permanently attached to the seat frame.  Leaves 2 hands free to work rather 1 hand holding the hoop and the other using g the needle.) It ain't small.

Today I went for a light lunch with Himself, the waiter put our food down and then asked "And how are you both today?" - I thought he was being politely inquisitive but it turned out it was someone we knew from years ago, I felt awful: note to self, don't dismiss serving Staff  :kick: they are people too!
