I love this thread.  I feel so at home  ;D

One of my worst meno failings is LOSING THINGS.  On another thread I was recommended a book on IBS which I duly ordered from Amazon.  It arrived, I scanned through it to work out which form of IBS I have.  Put book down and havent seen it since.....

I struggle at work as we have so much new information thrown at us on a regular basis, starting to feel I am not fit for the world of work  :(

Would HRT help? I am just on vagifem.  I've only recently started getting hot flushes and they are very minor.  I'm 54 and havent had a period since February and prior to that none for 11 months.

Are all you forgetful ladies on HRT?  It would be interesting to know.

It was a chaffinch, Taz. Apparently they get a problem with swallowing and can be seen with their beak in the air, looking like they are choking. I think they eventually die of starvation. Luckily, we haven't seen it in our garden to date but if you do, you have to disinfect all the bird feeders and the table to try and prevent the spread.

I am constantly looking for my glasses which I take off and put down. Then I can't see to find them because I am not wearing them ......

My daughter is threatening to buy me a string thing for my glasses. I take them off and loose them all the time. It drives everyone....including me...up the wall.

I wear contact lenses for work and to go out then glasses in the house, but I see close up things better without my glasses - so I take them off and perch them on my head.  Then I either search around for them or go to bed with them still on my head!

In answer to your question, Milliemoo - I'm not on HRT.  8) (Just noticed the Christmas smilie and had to use it!)

Lucky Stone - they have this disease http://www.rspb.org.uk/advice/helpingbirds/health/sickbirds/greenfinches.aspx

RSPB or the British for Ornithology like to be informed if you find any dead or dying birds with this disease in your gardens. It helps them track the progress across the country.

I went into the 99p shop, picked up an item, took it to the desk and asked how much it was !!    DOH...... It was the 99p shop  ::)

I have proffered a pound coin in a pound shop and been told it was a discount shop not a pound shop. I suggested (sweetly) they should have a look at the sign above the shop which clearly stated it was a pound store.
My comments were not well received and I left without said item.

I was in one of "those" kinds of moods where you take no prisoners.  ;D ;D

;D  I emptied sugar over the work surface earlier instead of into the jar

Had I been wearing my glasses I probably might possilbly have seen the jar  >:( ........ then I needed the glasses in order to clean up split sugar  ::)

Hi Limpy, good to see you back! No I didn't eat it because it tasted a bit funny!   :o
I put another egg on to boil, and that one was underdone, but I ate it.  Had any mishaps with lamb recently? ;D

yesterday I thought we were out of biscuits but couldnt face braving sainsburys again after my trip on friday.  searched through cupboard in vain.  Really wanted a biscuit or two :(

Baked some rock buns this morning (low sugar, olive spread, spelt flour, so they are as healthy as I can stomach)

Then I discovered some biscuits in another tin.  sadly they are a bit stale but dunking does improve them  a lot  :)

After making tea and putting a couple of biscuits on a plate I replaced the milk in the fridge, along with the biscuit tin.   ::)
