And then there's the Amazon ads on TV - get your Xmas shopping done quick before the shops are open...
I have no desire at all to visit the shops but if we don't more will close.

We have one brand new shop, opened on out little high street.  It's a delicatessen so hopefully it will do well.

As for the big chains and stores, I fear this is just the start.  Those that were struggling will be finished off by the never-ending lockdown.

Off out to Christmas shop locally tomorrow.

Primark will still be there. Apart from McDonald's it's the only one that's crowded when every other shop is empty.

You wouldn't want one that I knitted. The last attempt had one arm normal length and the other one suitable for a gibbon. So as long as your knuckles scrape along the ground...
Socks are beyond me.

I always loved Debenhams, good quality clothes at a pretty reasonable price,so I'm sad they're going, don't know where I'll get the choice of clothes that they had.......big sad

Since M&S left Debenhams was the only big department store left. It's going to be horribly empty now  :(. I hate online clothes shopping, more things don't fit than do and often they just don't look as good as you think they will. It's fine for 'standard' items like a TV or washing machine but every clothes store seems to have a different fit (and so many seem to think all women are short and fat  >:().
