Cyclic symptoms
« on: November 09, 2020, 09:28:50 AM »

Looking for some opinions on my symptoms. Been struggling for 3 years. After lots of trials of combined pills (as I'm only 44) I'm now au naturele before trying HRT.

Got a, pretty good grasp on how my cycle works and symptoms. I wonder if anyone has a view on which hormone may be outbid sync:

Periods are very light. Always have been.

At beginning of cycle I get extemely woozy. Dizziness, mild nausea (sometimes makes me gag) general feeling of offness. Quite tired. The woozy/dizziness is continuous avd one of my worst symptoms. I'm prone to migraine in these early weeks too (never been a migraine sufferer)

Mid cycle the woozy/dizziness continues. Immense brain fog. I ovulate early, about day 8 or 9 (ovulation pain tells me this)

The latter part of my cycle I am less dizzy. As I move to the week before my period I have a couple of good and energetic days, the rest are filled with traditional pmt symptoms e.g low mood and narky.

What strikes me as odd, is that the week before my period, although I get pmt, is actually one of my better weeks!

The first 2 weeks of my cycke are hellish with the woozyness and brain fog.

Is this classic low estrogen??? Should I start the HRT my GP is happy to prescribe??? I'm a bit scared as I got so many bad side affects from the combined pill (despite taking them for years previously).

Any opinions greatly received x

I wonder wether you are burning off energy which can cause nausea.  It certainly did with me when I was in my mid-30s.

My periods [aged 11]  were bloody and very painful, beyond words: until I went on The Pill at age 16 which helped.  Sterilised when I was 28.  In my mid-30s I began to experience sudden "I'm going to be sick now" feelings prior to a bleed.  I was advised by NAPS to eat every 3 hours, 24/7 to stop those awful feelings.  For 3-4 months I was housebound.   :'(. I knew where every waste bin was in a store as the feelings came on instantly.

Yes they were cyclic.  How do you describe PMT?

If you have been advised an HRT mayB put the product name into the search box to see what pops up? Make notes ;-)
