Vulval swelling
« on: November 05, 2020, 10:50:14 PM »

Hi everyone
I am really struggling with swelling that won't go down.  History is that I started HRT patches about a year ago, switched to Femoston Conti about 2 wks ago after another UTI and recurrence of other menopause symptoms, was prescribed Ovestin as well.  1/4 of a pea sized amount applied externally - next day, vulva all swollen, not too much redness, no itching but felt like parts were touching that shouldn't be!  Subsided a little about 4 days later, went for a long walk a week later, swelling came back and one week on I can't go for a walk as it sets it all off again, constantly aware of it ... Dr Google is no help as it doesn't seem to fit anything other than a reaction to an ingredient in the Ovestin (could be glycerin as I've had similar with moisturiser containing that ingredient although as long-lasting).
If anyone has had a similar experience I would love to hear from them :-( :-(
