Or eat a more evenly spread diet?  Are you under the care of an NHS DIetitician, I can't remember  ::)

Let us know how you get on.  The body takes fluids from what we put through the digestive system as well as liquids and if we aren't nourishing the body correctly, it can leave the body dry.

Ah ok. No not under care of dietician. I have to say I don't dirnk near enough water than I should be. I will also try and balance my diet out a bit so I'm getting all the nutrients. Do you tihnk an electroylte drink would help for instant relief? I saw one by A.Vogel online.

You've jogged my memory - Gt Aunt had problems for years so I bought special pastilles to ease symptoms of course can't remember the name  ::)  ;D

Oh! I'd love to know what they are. Right now chewing gum seems to help a bit. Maybe I can try some throat losenges...  ::)

Gum gives I wind  ;D and my mind won't remember those pastilles, it was in the 1980s but I'm sure a Pharmacist can advise.

Hi there,

I’ve had similar. Stinging/burning under my tongue and around my mouth, but not throat. I’m not sure it’s menopause related but it did only start about a year ago. I feel it may be triggered by menopause but I found out mine was a rapeseed oil allergy! Long story but I started a Noom healthy eating programme 5 weeks ago. I cut out all buttery spreads like Clover then reintroduced it on just one day. Had the burning again and realised it’s the rapeseed oil in clover (and it’s in a lot of other things too!). I feel when you’re in perimenopause that you become more allergic and intolerant to certain foods. Hope this helps! Xx

That's jogged my memory cell - sometimes I can't eat chocolate, jam, bananas as they fire my mouth immediately.  I did change my toothpaste which helped.

CLKD ... worth a look at the ingredients in those foods. There is a an actual syndrome called burning mouth syndrome but it’s caused by foods most often. I hope you feel better soon x

I am on a low sugar diet/lowcarb. Can't remember when I last ate sugar to be honest. I rarely eat breakfast, maybe a weak cup of tea or cocoa. My main meal is usually quite small since I don't have a huge appetite. Maybe a slice of very low carb bread with a slice of salmon or cheese and spinach - more like a snack than dinner. Most nights, I'd have a cup of cocoa and maybe a low carb cake.

Most days I eat the same, just can't be bothered to be creative with what I eat these days, especially after I've cooked dinner for my partner and kids (I don't eat what they eat).  :)

I am in a low carb diet too but it should have a more anti inflammatory response for the body.  blood test wise, I have never been healthier.  I don’t get hungry often either.
