VA Discharge?
«

I was just wondering, I don’t want to sound stupid but do any ladies get a yellowish discharge with VA. Although it’s dry I have had this discharge which seems to add to the soreness. Any help much appreciated.

Yes, discharge can occur with VA. Vagifem or Ovestin would help.

Nowt is stupid here, we've been through it all ;-)
Is this discharge more than normal for you? All the while? It won't hurt to get some 'vagifem' or 'ovestin' to relieve dryness - ring your GP and ask for a prescription, you don't need blood tests nor an internal exam..

Hi ladies, yes it’s very watery. I was prescribed Estirol , I had a bit of a thing with the doctor as she said I couldn’t use it for the 2 weeks as your supposed to she said it was too much. I’ve just been using over the counter meds. Not very helpful some of these doctors

Ridiculous. Do as CLKD says and consult someone else, or complain to the practice manager. You should not be left to suffer. You can also join Jane Lewis's Vaginal Atrophy Facebook group where others have suffered a similar fate and you will find all the evidence in the files there. There is also Jane's book Me and my Menopausal Vagina (from Amazon) a good resource. You can also follow Jane on Instagram. I this way you can get clued up and fight for what you obviously need 💪.
Good luck!

Some medics really should Keep Up 2 Date
. We shouldn't have to be educating them but sometimes, needs must! Let us know how you get on.

I did the video with Dr Sarah Ball all about VA & all the different local oestrogens & lots of myth busting.

Mine started like that. The 'discharge' got very drippy, and in the end went pink tinged.
I had tests for BV and thrush and treatments for both which helped temporarily, but the tests came back clear.
I started on the vagifem, but it was never enough - in the end I did 2 wk load, then alternate days for ages, then finally settled on one every 2/3 days.
I also started full hrt. It seems to take both.
