Everol sequi patches experiences
« on: July 10, 2020, 09:12:16 AM »

Hi everyone

I typed a long message and lost it ! Doh..  I'm due to start on everol sequi patches  not sure what dose just know the oestrogen higher than the 2mg tablet form I'm taking at mo,  I'm progesterone intolerant tried elleste duo, utrogestron tablets and pesseries, makes me very I'll and anxious, I'm 49 6 yrs peri and average a period every 6 mnths, I still have my womb.

Just wondering what peoples experiences are and the progesterone side is it harsh or bearable?

Thank you x

You will get mixed reactions of other's experiences as with any progestogen. I'm not sure that the oestrogen is higher than your 2 mg tablet? They are approx equivalent I think, both being medium dose but how much you absorb is very individual. Maybe you weren't absorbing well from the tablets? The progestogen in Evorel sequi is the same as in Elleste Duet but because it is transdermal it may not affect you in the same way as the tablets, because it is lower dose and straight into bloodstream, rather than through digestion? Best just to try it and see and let us know how you get on :)

I applied my first Everol 50 patch last night after a long time on gel which didn't seem to be absorbing well. I have woken with terrible nausea and a racing heart! I presume on a plus point I am absorbing well! How long should it take to settle or is this not normal and should I take it off?  Even over a year now and can't seem to get it right

Day 5 on Everol 40 and things not settling at all! Continue to have unsettled anxious feeling in my stomach and very jittery! Maybe I was absorbing and need a higher dose patch! Any ideas? I know it takes a while to settle but worries I’m going backwards again

Oh dear, sorry to hear this. I am also due to try this shortly on the advice of a soecialist. She told me , rather abruptly on the telephone consultation, to expect side effects for at least 3 months and not to ring her because of them, just to carry on until my body adjusts. Not sure if this is right or not, but was that frightened of her i didnt challenge! Hopefully someone kind will come along and give you a realistic idea.x

I use Everol50 and Utrogestron 100mg which thankfully I seem to be ok on for the 10 days that I use it for! Just can’t settle and feel like I’m existing rather than living at the minute. Tried pills and gel so really this is my last shot at it so need to persevere if I can.
