Did anyone read about those monkeys throwing the dogs from a great height in revenge for the dogs killing one of the monkeys babies? Omg,I'm not a fan of those monkeys at the best of times but now  >:(

So it's ok for dogs to kill monkeys?

It's what dogs do.  The chase instinct kicks in ........ though I would think twice about tackling any type of monkey!

Did any1 see the mamorset that was flushed down a loo and the owner filmed it B4 posting in where fortunately, someone reported it.  She had tried to give a cocaine on the end of her finger.  It's now recovering with other marmosets and she has a friend  :-*

Octopus farms: Wild Birds

Anyone!  I HATE them like some hate spiders.  They give me the creeps.  I am tactile but all those arms  :o and you don't know what it is thinking!

Now someone wants to breed them for the table.  Octopii are solitary except for mating when they swarm round the females.  I watched a programme a few years ago who kept 1 as a pet, it would cling to the edge of the tank, put an arm out and hold her hand  :o  :sick02:

Octopii creep me out...things of my nightmares.  I understand that they are very intelligent and such, but I can't stand to look at them. :sick02:

Not much wildlife around my house other than bunnies making footyprints in the backyard snow.

Beyond disturbed  :'(.  They need gentle handling 'cos of those teeth!!! but are so sweet looking  :-*.  They nip about so wouldn't make 'pets'.  A friend has one of those bearded dragon critters, it sits on her shoulder whilst she is typing  :o

Longest night soon :-))))).

We put the cameras out last night and there was a hedgehog scuttling around  :'(.  It looks healthy so I will put food out later.  Hopefully it is using the box but we didn't see comings/goings on the other camera other than a jay being shooed off by a magpie at dawn  ::)

Oh that's a relief Taz.  :thankyou: There is water at ground level all around the plot.  Earlier in the year we had 3 drinking at the same time  8)

Because the new builds are encroaching on our fields badgers, jays and woodpeckers are visiting the gardens more and more.  A greater spotted was here, briefly  8)

Hedgehog seen on camera - looks absolutely fine
Have been putting out meal worms across the garden late evening - any not eaten will be found by the birds

Snowdrops peeping through  :-*
Robins shouting at each other  ;D

Please don't feed mealworms for hedgie especially at this time of year when they need good nutrition even more. Could you scatter hedgehog biscuits? I get mine from Riverside Craft and they like them.

So many blackbirds in the garden now. Great to see Beaky back. He turned up in the summer with a broken twisted beak and damaged eye. I didn't give much for his chances but made sure he had soft food he could scoop up with his wonky lower beak. He disappeared in September but last week returned. I was so pleased to see him but the others weren't!  ;D

We had a blue tit with an overgrown beak - top over bottom - for 3 years, didn't see it after July .  5 male blackbirds here, they spend more time chasing each other than eating  ::) which leaves room for the 11 pigeons ........ now, where's my air-gun  :-* ;)
