We do make our own compost which is sieved into plastic sacks: from past compost purchases: stood in the shade and used when necessary to bulk up borders and pot plants. It's the context of the mixture that seems to be lacking in many 'compost' products. . He did a Good Weed around the bush, left it for a week and then added the compost this morning, hopefully worms will do their work.
