🤣😂🤣😂 we didn't need the tufty club to teach us how to cross the road.
It's already ingrained in us townies from birth, because we have to watch out for lorries and jugganauts, else we'd get squashed like a squirrel...🤣😂🤣😂
But you are right, didn't go to school that much, I always had better things to do! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Crikey I've been growing 2 triffids  :o

Small comfrey plants last year, bees loved 'em.  Disappeared in the Winter, emerged twice the height and 3x the width  :o so they had to be hoiked out this afternoon.  They sulked so are in water until I decide where to re-site them .........

Cuckoo spit - apparently spittlebugs [new 1 on me] are possibly going to invade the UK which may put our native species under threat.  So 'they' want to know where each piece of spit is located - R they then going to send someone out to look  :o.  I have 1 piece so far .........  it squeezed gently the spit has a green bug inside  ;)

Do we not have a problem with bees coming over too & harming our native bees?Apparently if you see one with a lot of black on it's body, that's the culprit & I'm sure one chased me round the whirly last week, their sting is supposed to be nasty too.
Filled all the bird feeders yesterday, bought lovely nuts & fruit for birds, the freeze dried worms & are they eating it?No,they just want their sunflower seeds, think these birds are getting a bit too fussy 😂

Getting very excited about our resident Blue tit family.  Chicks are getting very noisy and parents working very hard.

Bet I miss them fledge though.    ::)

I saw some fledge from Mum's garden last Autumn, they fluttered towards the road  :o so I picked them up - like bumble bees, no weight at all.

DH was pulling yet more blanket weed from the pond when he found an effluvia ..........

Yesterday morning I had a very white peahen peering at me through the window, I took a photo to back me up just in case my family thought I had totally lost the plot 😂 x

Our sparrows in the loft have all fledged now, the most regular visitors to the feeders seem to be the woodpeckers and sparrows followed by blue tits, great tits, chaffinches and surprisingly goldfinches , still no long tail tits this year sadly 😔 x

They go well with peas, carrots, roasts and gravy though jaypo  ;) but 1 needs to each  :whist:

Wood pigeons are really pretty and keep the areas clean under the feeders.

👋🏻  Hi CLKD & Jaypo x

I put an old baking tray down with chicken meal on for the big birds and I find they leave the little ones alone and I admit I chase starlings away as their squabbling seems to attract the birds of prey attention to the feeders 🙄 x
