We've had bummblers flying for a while and our honeybees have been flying too, on the warmer days.
Saw kingfisher last week, but no sign of osprey yet, usually 1st week in April, so any time now.

Geese are heading north, fieldfares still in field, along with a flock of starlings.  Skylarks singing. Oyster catchers back for a week or so now.

Haven't seen hedgehogs since the 2 bad winters where we had 6feet of snow. I do hope they come back.

We have pine martins in the woods beside us. I see roe most mornings as I walk my pup and often jays.
Tufty red squirrel was running about as well.  We are really lucky to have a wood with all the wildlife behind us. I love walking there. hardly anyone goes there so wildlife not scared.

Last summer the newly released Sea Eagles visited us. They were a magnificent sight.

Sounds like you live in an amazing part of the world for wildlife Blue!

I've finally heard the chiff-chaffs and thought I briefly heard a cuckoo in the distance but it's too early so was probably a wood pigeon! Haven't seen a hedgehog for years - we used to get them around the back door. Maybe it's because I don't put out food because it attracts the farm rats and the smelly toms who spray in our house (come in through the cat flap)!!

Lovely bees here too (bumbles and honey) and some butterflies - tortoiseshell.

Our early purple orchids are up with all this warm-weather and one has a flower spike already!

That was lovely :)  We actually swam with some seals a few years back in Norfolk. It was a glorious day, good enough to swim in the sea and as we were splashing about 3 seals suddenly popped up and spent some time with us - no pictures though as we were both in the water at the same time.....
