We have 2 Pheasants wandering across our garden, male and female - OH says they are going for 'fun and games' in the long grass at the bottom of the field next door.  They make such strange noises like a rusty cow bell

The stags are also in the wood at the back of the house - they wake us up at night and sound like someone with a really bad cough

Our Pampas Grass has now been stripped - have been watching the birds - mainly the sparrows - taking it for nesting.

A lady duck can bring up lots of ducklings but the drake [her partner]looks on although he will be not far behind  ::)

Is it necessary to cut back Pampass Grass each year?

He will probably go here http://www.secretworld.org/  where they have more space and facilities for him to grow and then be released into the wild - although I think everyone would just love to keep hold of him forever knowing what is planned for our badgers.

The 19th fox cub of the season has just arrived apparently.
