Breaking News

Four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome is set to return to competitive racing in February at the UAE Tour, eight months after a high-speed crash.

The Team Ineos rider is training again after being seriously injured during the Criterium du Dauphine last June.

The Briton, 34, will compete at the UAE Tour from 23-29 February, after taking part in a training camp.

"I look forward to taking the next step in my recovery and getting back to full strength," Froome said.

"I've come back off a good block of training in Grand Canaria."

Meanwhile, Britain's Simon Yates has suffered a knee injury in a nasty crash on stage two of the Tour Down Under.

The Mitchelton-Scott rider was involved in an incident inside of the final mile of the race to Stirling, on the outskirts of Adelaide, and finished more than five minutes behind stage winner Caleb Ewan.

"His left knee is the real concern," said Mitchelton-Scott team director Matt White. "He could barely pedal to the finish line."

It's on Free sports channel, I don't know if you need a sky TVs box to see it ?

I'll let you know after I've watched it if there is any evidence if the fires.  Australia is such a huge country it's difficult to know how close to Adelaide they were.

Crikey.  That means that Summer is on the way  :-*

Will it be on TV anywhere?  We've given up BT Sport as they can't liaise with Apple updates  :-\ so we went directly to MotoGP which is slightly more expensive.

I have sky sports so I can usually find cycling on Eurosport, you will probably be able to watch on the computer but the commentary will be in Dutch, to be honest some of the cycling commentators are rubbish so listening to the Dutch commentary is not so bad  ;D

I hate the interviews after.  Some of the questions are cringingly embarrassing.

Britain's Adam Yates leads the UAE Tour after a stunning attack to win stage three by the Mitchelton-Scott rider.

Yates claimed his first stage win outside Europe after breaking clear 6km from the top of Jebel Hafeet.

The 27-year-old shook off Alexey Lutsenko and David Gaudu around 5km from the summit to effectively win his first WorldTour stage since last April.

Britain's Chris Froome was dropped at the foot of the climb and finished 10min 49sec behind Yates.
