I've been in Brittany for a week and only got home this evening so I haven't seen today's stage, although I can sympathise because I fell over on Monday and twisted my knee so I've been hobbling around since then  :o

We watched yesterday's stage with French commentary, I don't speak French so had no idea what was happening other than what we could see  ;D we saw Valverde crash and then Geraint cross the line but we didn't know how many riders were left so it was a huge relief to see him win.

It's our 4th stay in the same apartment so I don't get too stressed about it and actually look forward to going. The weather this time was good start to the week then showery, it doesn't stop us visiting our favourite towns and markets.

What a shame you can't venture to France you'd love the vide grenier, the car boot/flea markets held on Sunday's usually, we always love them, you never know what you'll find  :o

I don't know if you've ever been to the tour but it's a really good experience, different to other races because of the caravanne, the parade that goes in front of the race, the haribo float is the best because they throw packs of sweets  ;D I've also been hit by a pack of washing liquid  ::) it's fun to see just how many items we collect  ::) did you go when it was in Yorkshire or london ?

Himself went in 2012 with a neighbour.  I then went into melt down and ended up in the GP Surgery in complete desperation.    He brought back chocolate, King of the Mountains 'tent' shirt  ;D and several hats.

I went to France twice years++ ago.  Too many foreigners ;-).  We have been to Belgium as well as I had a trip to Lugano/Italian Lakes.

We were in Yorkshire 2 weeks prior to kick off in 2014.  One town was fully garlanded with postcards which had been drawn by the local school children and laminated, either as bunting or to sell ......... Holmfirth, that was the one!

Feet up ........

I was watching, I'm not surprised that Saga has been disqualified he used his elbow to push Cav into the barrier   >:(

I hope Cav can carry on and he's not badly injured.

Means the green jersey competition is more interesting now with no Sagan.

I don't think that Sagan was putting out elbows for balance which could have been a possibility, I do think that he certainly gave a shove though not necessarily "at" Cav., in the heat of the moment it could have been any other rider though he would know from experience that Cav would be in the vicinity.  I believe that Mark has to undergo scans as he has aches and pains where he's had previous injuries?  I think a fine would have been better rather than a disqualification, although at the time I was shouting "Sagan pushed Cavie, Sagan pushed Cavie'  :-\ and I think that Mark had been knocked out though that hasn't been suggested - he certainly laid still like he was stunned.

It's spoilt it for me  :'(

However: that was the initial decision but when footage had been viewed yet again, disqualification was the final verdict.  There is huge monies involved in this Event.

David Millar has said earlier that Peter didn't know who was coming up beside him, however, Peter Sagan has said on camera that he was aware that Cavendish was behind him >shrug< ........ sometimes these commentators say things because they don't agree with the verdict of the Jury.   Their point about there being no cyclists on the Jury should may be taken into account but a Jury should be impartial.

Sunny there today :-).  Today's news, tomorrow's fish papers ;-)

A pretty flat stage of the tour today, shouldn't be any major drama but it's a day for beautiful shots from the helicopter, it's a stage where I find myself totally absorbed  :)

I'm finding it a bit same, thank goodness for the over-head helicoptor shots.  Did U C the man on the high-wire cycling yesterday  :o - on a yellow bike, he actually took one hand off the wheel and waved  :o
