I do miss her contribution but why go  :-\

Anyway: Tour of Britain is headed from Wales into England soon  :clapping: and I'm having a Welsh flag sent to me so that I can wave a 'G' as he flashes by ;-).

Watching le Veulta on catch up ........

Tour of Britain is going in fine sunshine.  My flags are ready to put onto poles to wave in Leamington later in the week  :)

Was there for the Bristol stage of the Tour of Britain. Saw the roll out and near the end at the 1 kilometre mark. Very exciting with all the razzmatazz that goes with it.

Viva la cycling.  :ola:

I agree. We've had an interesting day in Leamington watching bits to camera being filmed, chatting to a company who are developing new racing helmet technology to make it lighter and safer .......... big screens around so that we were able to keep up to date with the break away ......... didn't see G or Froomey as I was too short and they whizzed by so FAST  ;D

I did leave briefly and I've been lurking, I'm not feeling very sociable at the moment. In the last few weeks my better half has been in hospital for the first time in his life, I've had a chest infection, had speeding ticket and our credit card has been fraudulently used to book a £5000 holiday. Hopefully when things settle down I'll return.

Enjoyed tour of Britain, as usual can't really get interested in the Vuelta.

I may not be posting much but I'm I'm an occasional browser  ;D

PHEW! glad to see you back  :thankyou:

It is stressful when the OH gets poorly when they are generally in rude health!  Is he on the mend?

How about you?  A speeding ticket isn't the end of the World .......... do you have to attend a Course?

Has your card been stopped by the Bank?

We went to Leamington to watch the men whizz by  ;D spoiled by my anxiety  :-\ - I could see my hand banging on the boards on the tele that night  :D

Engrowssed in le Vuelta - GO YATESY GO! ;-)

Thankfully my better half is back to normal  :) but he got the speeding fine on his birthday  >:( so he's got a driver awareness course in a couple of weeks time.

Luckily we found the credit card transaction quickly and it's with the fraud team at the moment, they have told us we will get the money refunded.

If you want to get a slightly longer view of the cyclists you have to either go on a hill or a sharp bend, but if you stand at the start or the finish you can sometimes see them near the team buses. Husband and son watched in two places but the peloton were travelling too fast for them to get to a third village  ::)

The route for next years Tour de France was unveiled today, it's starting in Brussels but then is almost all in southern France and lots of mountains.

Did you hear that Geraints trophy was stolen from the cycling show in Birmingham a few weeks ago, I haven't heard if it's been found  >:(

Morning!  We did hear about the Trophy being stolen .......... typical of the NEC I'm afraid.  It happens during the antique shows too :-(((

DH looked at the route yesterday apparently.  Missing out mid and Eastern France?  [have I got the correct direction  :-\ ] anyway, down the right hand side as looking at the map  ;D

I have read that Paul Sherwen the cycling commentator has died, he was only 62. He hadn't been commentating so much in the last few years I think he was doing the US version of the TDF, but he had a lovely soothing voice and was a pleasure to listen to.
