Progesterone intolerance and early peri
« on: May 19, 2020, 09:25:45 AM »

So after 5 years of hell, numerous gp appts, strong anti depressants and numerous contraceptive trials I finally had enough and booked a private consultation. The conclusion being that at 45 I am in early peri and am intolerant to Progesterone. My whole life I have suffered mentally due to this. Made to feel I was going mad, when nothing I tried worked.
I would love to hear from anyone else going through this. I am to take 4 pumps of gel and  progesterone. I am scared due to the bc risk but am also willing to try anything to at least have a chance of some mental peace. Thank you xx

It sounds similar to me,
I was on Evorel Sequi, which worked perfectly. When that became unavailable I was put on Estradot and Provera.
I (think) I may be intolerant to the Provera, my current (Locum) GP isn't being helpful, so I have booked a Private Consultation, in the hope I can find something suitable that can help get me back to feeling 'normal' or just stop some of the awful symptoms I have.
Good Luck, and I'd love to know how you get on.
