Hi belle

I've had spotting and bleeding a couple of times when I've forgotten to take the Utrogestan. The first time it happened I had a hysteroscopy, and they said that I the lining was very thin , and I in fact had endometrial atrophy, which caused some raw spots. They said that likely, the fluctuations caused instability in the lining, and caused the bleeding.

So it is possible to have bleeding with a thin lining, and missing just one utrogestan can destabilise.

Maybe try the conti again?

Hi Belle1

Sounds like a plan if you don't want to go to the docs at the mo. ie as you say, take 200 mg utrogestan for 12 days. Stop for a week and if there is no further bleeding then your lining will be thin and you can restart with 100 mg. It doesn't deal with what's causing the spotting but if you've had endometriosis then could this be the reason?

Good that previous investigations showed all was OK,  However if it does persist, as it was a year ago that you last had investigations, then as well to report to the doc really, just to check all is still OK?

I would complete the course, especially as you have endometriosis. Do consult the doc if the bleeding appears unusually heavy or you are worried as the HRT may have caused it to flare up so another scan might be advised?
