This is why I love MM, learn something new every day. I've been taking high dose vitamin D now for a number of years, always taken it at night before bed. I had never previously come across anything in relation to it and melatonin other than deficiency can affect sleep. I will try taking it with breakfast and see if it makes any difference to my sleep pattern. Thanks Ladies.

If VitD is too low, the body would react  :-\

Mine was low but the symptoms were only vague aches and pains and tiredness which I put down to bring middle-aged (65)  ;D

I've found the vitamin D council a good source of information, although last night & today there seems to be a fault & I'm unable to access it.
The issue can be if you are like me with various health issues and a variety of symptoms it's not always obvious what is causing what, especially when you throw peri into the mix!! x

Hello again ladies.

My daughter lives in Scotland and she was advised to supplement with vitamin D especially during the Winter months. Sunlight is weak in the Northern Hemisphere even during the Summer so some people need to supplement all year round.

Take care ladies.
