Weird weight gain places
« on: May 11, 2020, 04:21:30 PM »

Hello.. I'm brand new here and
Have never been in any kind of forum chat so I'm not sure exactly how it goes... So I'll just go by trial and error.
I'm so glad to find other women with issues like mine. I've talked to my doctor and my mom about what's going on but knowing there's an army of us makes me feel a little less alone.
I'm 48 and have been blessed with wonderful health all my life, so when this whole pre-menopause stuff began I was totally unprepared. I still am really. Feelings I don't even know how to express surround me. I've started reading through the posts to start learning more.
I have 1 question (of about 1 million) I haven't been able to find on any searches. Over the last year I've gotten puffy in between each collar bone and my shoulder /neck area doesn't look so nice in wider collars anymore. My doctor said it's fat.. Wow... Thanks Doc.. Lol. What a weird place for fat to accumulate. It sounds silly of all the other bizarre issues that are attaching to me, but I was curious about this. Has anyone else had this? Thanks for listening 😊

Great Doctor  ::) but is he correct.  Have you gained weight over-all?  My apron dropped due to lack of oestrogen but I hadn't put on weight  >:(  ::)

Oh!  I could understand various parts of the body taking on muscle due to exercising but maybe that isn't the 'usual' place for layering?

How R U otherwise?

I'm a total emotional mess actually. I have Hoahimotos which doesn't help. So my estrogen is through the roof and no progesterone. So taking meds for that and natural thyroid med. I cry and get upset for no reason and stay sad when my life is blessed. My husband can't figure me out and neither can I... Lol.
