Hose Pipe ban soon?
« on: June 02, 2020, 03:49:22 PM »

Water Companies are bleating about households using 'too much water during lockdown'.  But how come: we had months of heavy rain with flooding, so badly that some will never return to their houses and some crops won't be sown this year.  Also, is there 1 water system for office blocks, shops etc. and a separate system for private dwellings.  Where's the office system being stored if that's the case ..........

25% of water if lost though old pipework - don't know if that's daily, weekly, monthly [need to read the Guardian again].  I saw a man listening to pipework outside our property a few years ago  ::) ........ with a ? copper pipe ?  :-\

I remember the hot Summers of 1975/6 when reservoirs ran empty.  Doesn't seem like much has altered other than more properties being built, access to laundry machines and dishwashers, plus en-suite bathrooms ..........
