Do your perimenopause symptoms follow a pattern?
« on: April 16, 2020, 09:35:57 PM »

Just wondering if anyone's perimenopause symptoms follow a pattern.

My symptoms are spotting, bumps behind my ears, irregular periods back to back, acid reflux, thrush. Over a 4 year period.

Hi 36 here,  since age 35 6months postpartum having my son ive had the most severe symptoms. I find around the weeks coming up that i shud have my period I have severe PMS acne headaches hot flushes twice a month spotting...Insomnia severe anxiety. In the beginning in 2019 I will say the symptoms were so severe that I was in the floor. But all Drs have said is that Its all psychriatric but it isnt as no antidepressant or drug can Help me...the worse thing is that I have to keep going for my baby and my Partner otherwise i wud have Killed myself tbh. Ive had this now over a yr and half and idk how much more I can take...But yea now i just deal with it on my own as apparently im.too young. Hugs xx

I'm feeling the same, though more recent for me.  Just started another period or mid cycle bleed 11 days after my last period.  It's scary.  Have you spoken to your gp?

Hi Jo - so what support have you been given?  Post natal hormonal upsets can be severe.  It is psychiatric but caused by hormones!  Maybe have a look-see at The National Association for Pre-menstrual Syndrome ...... Dr Dalton did a lot about hormonal upheavals.

Acid reflux - may B caused by laxity of muscles which affects the spincter which closes as we eat and breath, allowing fluids back up = reflux.  It may be a hiatus hernia too.

Thrush - can be due to a lack of hormones.  4 me it was high up, both times after stopping The Pill.  Now I get itchiness due to dryness which can be eased by appropriate VA medication.
