As Jari states - no new cases in China - is this reported, hospitalised cases?

Also Korea had no new reported cases yesterday

I think we probably still have the worst to come, but it is reassuring to see they seem to be starting to get back to some kind of normal in China.. eg Apple reopened their stores.. x

Although individualistic Brits don't tend to be quite so good at following instructions, so it may take us a while longer.  I have a friend who is currently living in China, and she reckons the reason they have got it under control is because everyone did what they were asked to do - unlike those who are still crowding into our local pubs and cafes!

I realy wish we could go into lockdown. The pubs and shops, around here are packed.  People arent taking it seriously. .  I'm so worried for my dad as we are all isolating but he is still going out.  He sees others doing the same and its giving him a false sense of security.  It's such a,worry to all the family.  He is putting my mum at risk as well as himself.  Lockdown would mean he wouldnt have that option.

It is worrying TC,especially for older folks,I suppose because it is just a minority of people who actually die from it,either old or infirm or underlying health issues but I'm afraid to say,it's the attitude of oh,well it's not going to affect me so I don't care attitude.

Does anyone think it's odd that nothing reported re Russia or the likes of India, which are massive??!

We are so rebellious!
Groups of young adults laughing at the camera whilst out drinking.
No one giving any consideration to older folk who need food and toiletries.
Why? 🤬

Jilly. The thing is in my family it is my dad who is being the rebelioua one.  He walks into wetherapoons and its business as usual so he thinks its o.k. local   Restaurants are quiet but pubs and cafes are not.  So he is still going for his coffee at 11 and his pint at 5.  I have argued up hill and down dale with him. It's clear that the govt needs to identify the areas where people are not social.distancing and bring in more stringent rules.  People where I live seem too stupid to even keep their distance in a queue. .  Crammed into Asda  all standing right in each others space.  Even coughing into the air.

As long as people keep their distance it is better to go out - it keeps mental health issues at bay.

UK Government expectation is if people follow suggestions to keep a distance from others, it should be under control within 3 months.

I found a World Wide map this week of areas and how many affected but can't remember the link right now.

How many people have died of seasonal 'flu or norovirus since November?

Russia had its first death today.
India has also been doing well, considering the size of the population and living standards in rural areas (no running water). My local shop owner is from India and was telling me how welk they were controlling it. But it may just be under reporting. Who knows.

Tc. 👋🏼 ...maybe when people stop using the bars and cafes then he?ll follow suit.
it's probably because he's looking at others and thinking, well, they?re out and in there, so I will too. Kinda thing.
it's a worrisome time for you, just hope you?ll be able to get through to him soon. xx
