Thanks hurdity. Yes ppis can affect absorption of vitamins and .minerals.  My  b12 and folate have kept going low since I went on omprazole.  It's a known side effect but my doc only told me that after I'd been on it 2 years 

I think I've read that It also affects  the absorption of calcium carbonate.

The problem is I cant stop it as the rebound is horrendous.  I have  got down  to every other day.  Unfortunately gaviscon just doesnt touch it.

But I do know that whilst omprazole hinders the absorption of b12 from food it doesnt from supplements so hopefully that's the same for vit d.
