It's OK to go out but keeping social distancing.

Wickes have been open all the while apparently.

Get some of those dettol wipes Teresa, don't they kill, all germs etc?or some sanitising spray
Wickes etc not much good for what we need,it's been the glass suppliers that have been closed and who we need the most

It looks like i will have my Dc's at home until September. I have always WFH, even when they were tiny, but i really feel for others who have children not in the years he said would probably go back.

I don't see how you can be out safely all day and social distance quite honestly. Maybe in very sparsely populated areas but in a town or city? Before the lockdown it was like playing dodgem cars round here, weaving in and out. Are we all to have hands in pockets and not touch any surfaces, faces etc all day? If I sit down on a bench how do I know someone's not just coughed or spat on it? People spit in the street a lot here.? Maybe I'm being over cautious but if your children's lives might be at stake.. At any rate I'm in another 5 weeks at least and I think there'll be another wave by then.
I agree Teresa- I think I?ll carry my little camping chair out with me, definitely not chancing sitting on a bench.
I'm hoping to carry on as I am until September, unfortunately the college I work for will probably have a different idea.

Hope it works out, Salad. :-* I still can't see beyond the present day as to how things will pan out.. ???

There was so little detail given yesterday, it best to wait for the 50 page document to be published.  Hopefully that will make things clearer.  ::)

Thank you.
I'm a more in the moment person anyway - planning things makes me feel anxious as I overthink all the things that can go wrong  ;D
So, for the time being I'm just making the most of slouching about at home, doing work as I need to and watching box sets.

The Lakes would be lovely!
I've perfected the art of holiday booking - book it 4-6 weeks before and have low expectations  :D

It's to be published in Parliament today according to Dominic Raab. Don't know what that means for us ordinary mortals though.
